StarPort Resorts Inc. brings a wealth of talent, experience and contacts to the delivery and marketing  of Port St. George. From final designs to final finishes, and at every step in-between, we will ensure that the reality of the Port St. George development is as spectacular as the vision.

As we approach the third decade of the 21st Century we all need to be aware that a genuine commitment to sustainable development is now essential. Any other choice is no longer an option. That is why our emphasis is on creating an eco-engineered development, with sustainability built in from the design-stage onwards.

We regret the passing of our dear friend and esteemed colleague, Carl Berry. Carl was an astute observer of emerging trends in the realm of resort real estate. He was also a consummate gentleman. His influence is clearly imbued in the concept planning for Port St. George and his distinguished legacy will be further enhanced by completion of the Port St. George project. We will miss him.

With over 35 years experience in resort development and shared ownership Carl, Founder and former CEO of Star Resort Group LLC, was credited with the very first, fee paying ownership timeshare project and the first urban timeshare project in San Francisco. Over the years he was the driving force behind the highly successful and world renowned Manhattan Club in New York City the largest urban shared ownership project in the world. His projects span the length and breadth of the Americas and include home sites, condos and shared ownership; fractional interests and timeshare. He was a full member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a member of its Silver Flight of the Recreational Development Council. He was also a former Chairman of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). The resort developments shown below are just some of those Carl has worked on during his impressive career.

After over a decade working closely with the founder of Star Resort Group, Carl Berry, in the position of Vice President of Development, the progression to the role of President of StarPort Resorts Inc is a natural one for Duane. His wide experience is matched by boundless dynamism and energy, creating an ability to see the greater picture that is essential in large-scale projects. After graduating from The College of William & Mary, he did post graduate work in International Marketing at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His interest in resort real estate began early in life as Project Sponsor for a case study on Wilderness Resort in upstate New York at The Graduate School of Real Estate at Cornell University. Prior to entering the world of resort real estate, Duane procured two patents for process technology during a 25-year career in the metals industry.
